Wego is not an online travel agency (OTA), but a travel meta-search, which searches all online travel portals, airline sites and hotel sites to give its customers the best deals, without having to bother with multiple searches. When Wego approached us for their launch in the UAE and KSA, they wanted to not only increase their brand awareness but also wanted the brand’s functional benefit to be clearly understood.
Making travel plans takes time and effort, even though a lot of us are doing this on our computers and smartphones. There are so many options to choose from. And till you explore all the options, you are not quite sure that you’ve made the best choice. Making travel plans is hard work.
The human insight is we would rather have someone else do all the hard work so that the task becomes easy for us to complete. That’s how we came upon the ‘Shortcut’ campaign. How would you like it if someone is going to comprehensively search the best flights and room rates from over 600 airlines and OTAs, 400,000 hotels and 700+ partners and you could get the best options in one single search?
The campaign was largely executed through outdoor, radio and digital campaigns in UAE and KSA.
